While Mars Travel strives to provide funding to space projects through corporate sponsorship, the company realizes that there are millions of people that would be willing to support the further development and exploration of space if there was a way to do so. Mars Travel seeks to provide an easy way for the everyday person to contribute to space projects by acting as the liaison between the public and private space companies.
How will we do this?
When you contribute to Mars Travel your hard earned money will not go to waste. Your contribution will go toward a space project run by a private space company. When a large sum is accrued Mars Travel will evaluate the current space projects in need of sponsorship and determine which one to sponsor. 90% of all contributions received from you by Mars Travel will go toward sponsoring a space project in need of funding. 10% of contributions received will go toward maintaining Mars Travel's operational costs, which include site maintenance, legal fees, and accounting.
The percentage toward Mars Travel's costs is so high right now because the company is just starting out. In the coming months Mars Travel hopes to decrease the amount diverted to our operations down to 5%, then eventually 1% or less. Your support now will ensure that operations can continue and Mars Travel is able to find sponsors for private space projects and missions in severe need of funding.
